RCMP and fire are on the scene of a fire in Balgonie at the Good Fortune Kitchen, which is located just off the Trans-Canada highway.
There had been reports that there had been an explosion, but the owner of the business says that is not the case.
While not wanting to go on tape, he told 620 CKRM’s Josh Sigurdson that the fire started in the back of the building before spreading. There were a few people inside, but they managed to get out without incident

The building was destroyed with a bulldozer coming in to take the structure down shortly after the blaze was brought under control by the Balgonie Fire Department.
The call came in around 11:30 Sunday morning
