Residents in the Uplands neighbourhood of Regina were startled out of bed early this morning due to a car explosion in Mount Pleasant Park.
“It was just super loud. I jumped out of bed and checked the vehicle thinking maybe it was a car accident,” explained resident Brenda Lovis.
She wasn’t the only one that heard the explosion this morning.
“The explosion almost knocked everyone out of bed, it was so loud,” said one listener to CKRM who wished to remain anonymous.
Both Regina Police Service and Regina Fire responded to the fire and extinguished the blaze. An investigation into the cause of the explosion continues.
