Waging the war on property crime in Regina

In 2018, Regina police say there were over 15,000 property crimes in Regina.

While that number may seem high. Police Chief Evan Bray says it should not deter from the work being done by his officers on the street.

“Crime is always an issue as we are always fighting to reduce it.” Bray told reporters on Wednesday morning. “However, the work done daily by members of the Regina Police Service is something I am quite proud of. ”

Bray added you can help reduce your risk of being a victim of property crime by keeping your home well-lit, locking all car doors and getting valuables out of sight.  While that doesn’t mean something could still happen, Bray says it may keep possible criminal activity from happening.”
