Regina’s Operation Red Nose looking for host non-profit organization

With summer just starting you may not want to think about Christmas, but Operation Red Nose is looking for a new host non-profit organization.

For the past six years, Queen City Kinsmen have hosted the November 29th to December 31st safe ride home option.

This year the campaign is hoping a new non-profit in Regina will join on to receive all the proceeds collected from the safe ride program.

“At this point, we are looking for a legally registered non-profit organization, either already working with youth or a service club that helps and wants to support local youth programs,” said Marie-Chantal Fortin of Operation Red Nose.

It’s a great opportunity at the end of the year for local organizations, and the signup process is not difficult either.

Fortin said it’s a very easy application process, especially since the partnerships in Regina have been in place for the last six years.

“What an interested organization can do is email me directly at [email protected] and I will be able to guide them through the whole application process” she explained. “You have to fill out an application and we have to make sure you are legally registered and that you are going to continue to support youth programs.”

This Christmas will be their 36th safe ride campaign.
