Spray pad season starts in Regina, outdoor pools opening soon

Families hoping to beat the heat this summer will be able to do so with one of many spray pads now open in Regina.

There are 14 spray pads in total throughout the city offering residents a chance to cool down during some of those hotter days over the next couple months.

City of Regina’s Melissa Coderre was present for the opening of the Glen Elm Community School spray pad this past week.

“All of our spray pads are push buttons so we won’t be wasting any water on cooler afternoons,” she said.

She added that outdoor pools are set to open this upcoming Thursday, June 13th.

Since this is the farewell season for Wascana Pool, the City is offering free entry daily from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. along with Dewdney, Pool.

Regent and Massey pools will be free every day from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will hold the same operating hours.
