The battle between White City and the RM of Edenwold to alter the boundaries continues with the matter going to the Saskatchewan Municipal Board for a ruling.

The two sides have been squabbling on the matter which would incorporate White City, Emerald Park and nearby residential and commercial lands into one municipality.

White City Mayor Bruce Evans says the support is there as far as he is concerned.

“We’ve had to date over 950 letters of support and I believe about 50 formal letters of those who are opposed.” Evans said. “While we would like to have some co-operation on this, they (the RM) are not prepared to give us a complimentary resolution so we will take it to the board later this year.”

The RM says if this happens it would be a complete win for White City and a complete loss for them which is why there is opposition.
