The winner of a one million dollar MAXMILLIONS draw from last Tuesday’s Lotto MAX draw has come forward.
Wade Thomas of Strasbourg and his mother Jean purchased the winning ticket from the Sherwood Co-Op Gas Bar on Albert Street.
Thomas says he doesn’t know why, but when he purchased his ticket for the draw he decided to change the last two numbers after playing the same numbers for 35 years.
In a release from Saskatchewan Lotteries, Thomas says he doesn’t know why he made the change and that the first five numbers are a combination of birthdays and other significant dates so he went with 33 and 50 instead of 40 and 41 and it paid off.
Home renovations, travel and living without financial stress is what Jean says will be done with the windfall they’ve gotten.
