Major safety improvements are continuing on Highway 7 this summer.

By the end of the month, work on the third and final phase of a 35 kilometre twinning project between Saskatoon and Delisle is set to begin.

Design work also continues on passing lanes west of Kindersley to the Alberta border and construction on two new sets of passing lanes is underway on Highway 7 west of Rosetown. That’s in addition to four set of passing lanes that were completed four years ago from Rosetown to east of Delisle.

Lori Carr, Minister of Highways and Infrastructure says the new improvements will improve safety and help grow the economy.

The final phase of twinning between Saskatoon and Delisle is 12 kilometres long.
