La Ronge RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in finding an escaped inmate from a correctional facility transport vehicle.

The incident occurred Friday afternoon at 3:45 p.m. Police say the prisoner fled from a “non-secure” van while travelling through La Ronge.

The last time he was seen in the area was at Brown Street and La Ronge Avenue.

Grant Kenneth McKenzie, a 30-year-old male, stands at 5’8″ and has an average build weighing 190 lbs. He has short brown hair, brown eyes and possesses numerous tattoos.

Some of his most distinct tattoos is of a skull on the top of his head; a cross on his upper left arm; a cannabis leaf on his right arm; and the word KAIDENCE on the right side of his neck.

If anyone has information on the whereabouts of McKenzie, they are asked to contact the RCMP.
