Monday’s Riders-Argos game had to be stopped because of a weather delay late in the first half.
After a Cody Fajardo touchdown run, the officials stepped in and sent the two teams off the field due to a storm blowing into Regina that featured lightning that was within 15 kilometers of the stadium. It is CFL protocol that a game be stopped if lightning is within 15 kilometers of the venue.
Fans were told to leave the stands and go underneath to be safe from the elements. While many did to that, some elected to go home with the Riders up 25-0.

The delay, which started at 6:15, was just over two hours in length.
