The Regina Farmers Market is expanding its summer evening markets to include Thursday nights for the rest of the summer.
Executive Director Nikko Snyder says throughout July and August, vendors will be set up at City Square Plaza every Thursday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
Snyder says they have been hearing from customers for some time about having more markets under the stars. “It’s also something that we thought was a good opportunity for our vendors to have more opportunities and for customers to be able to come downtown and have really fun, vibrant, family friendly things to in the evenings during the summer.”
Snyder says not only will there be vendors set up, but it will also feature live music and a special features menu. “We are going to be having a licensed area so people who are over 19 can come and have a craft alcohol beverage. There is also going to be salsa dancing every week so it’s a lot of fun things to choose from. And of course a lot of farmers market vendors, food trucks and all of our great stuff.”
“It’s a special event for us,” she says. “It’s more of a party atmosphere and it’s fun to be outside in the evening. It’s a great night-market kind of vibe.”
