5 regulars including Lauther and Marshall to miss Riders game vs Calgary

The Calgary Stampeders may not have some of their regulars for Saturday’s game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders at Mosaic Stadium, but the home team will be missing several starters as well.

The team released its depth chart for the game Friday morning and it shows Nick Marshall (pictured), Brett Lauther, Christion Jones, Sam Hurl and Takoby Cofield all off the roster and placed on the one-game injured list.

It means recently signed Gabe Ferraro from the University of Guelph will handle the kicking duties for Lauther who is sidelined with a groin injury.   Blace Brown comes off the practice roster to take Marshall’s spot with others coming on being offensive lineman Thaddeus Coleman, receiver Carlos Henderson and linebacker Solomon Elimimian.  He will make his first start of the season after missing most of training camp and all of the season because of a calf injury as he steps into the middle linebacker’s job with Cam Judge moving to weak-side.

Game time on 620 CKRM Saturday night is 8 o’clock with our pre-game show starting at 5.
