Regina Police have arrested a man in connection to a weapons incident that took place in the east end.

Just after 9:00 Sunday night, police received three calls about a man potentially carrying a firearm around the corner of Victoria Avenue and Atkinson Street.

Police were able to locate the suspect on the 2000 block of Atkinson, where the suspect threw the firearm in question into a yard, breaking a glass door.

The suspect was then arrested.  It was discovered the weapon was an airsoft gun.

Thirty-seven year-old Gary Abigosis is facing seven charges, including three counts of pointing a firearm.
