One dead after two-vehicle accident Friday near Shell Lake

A two-vehicle accident late Friday night near Shell Lake has taken one life and its thought alcohol may be to blame.

RCMP say a 33 year old woman, who was a passenger in a car looking to turn onto Highway 12 from Highway 3, died shortly after arriving at Shellbrook Hospital after their vehicle was struck by a car being driven by a 20 year old man who suffered minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene.

The 26 year old driver of that other car had to be taken via STARS to Saskatoon with injuries considered not life-threatening.

Shell Lake is about one hour west of Prince Albert.
