A Regina man is facing a weapon related charge after a Friday night incident.

Regina Police were called to 5th Avenue and Athol Street at about 11:45pm for a report of a man with a weapon causing property damage.

Officers say when they arrived, the man dropped the weapon and fled on foot to the 1100 block of Athol.

The suspect climbed onto the roof of a garage and climbed back down after commands from police.

Thirty year old Eric Favel is facing charges of mischief under five thousand and possession of a weapon.

He will appear in court on August 15th.
