The Argo wildfire benefit concert in Saskatchewan is being called a huge success.
A benefit concert Saturday July 6th for victims of a huge wildfire near Biggar in April raised over $75,000
Saskatchewan Stock Growers manager Chad MacPherson says over 400 people attended the benefit concert in Biggar.
The event included live and silent auctions and a performance by Saskatchewan musician Chris Henderson.
The wildfire relief fund will provide support to producers who lost 22 thousand acres of pasture and over 75 miles of fence in April.
MacPherson says the funds will be distributed to about a dozen affected producers over the next few weeks.
He says the funds will cover about 10 to 15 percent of actual losses.
