Saturday’s stormy weather in the Craven valley didn’t stop people from breaking the law at the festival.
RCMP made 10 arrests throughout the day Saturday and lodged those prisoners, bringing the weekend total to 33.
12 charges were handed out including minors possessing or consuming liquor.
One impaired driver was located and arrested along with one minor assault being investigated and several cause disturbance and alcohol-related incidents.
RCMP responded to a total of 46 calls for service in the span of 24 hours, which brings the weekend’s total to 123.
As impaired driving remains a problem at this year’s festival like previous years, RCMP are reminding the festival goers to find a safe ride home using options including SGI’s safe ride buses or other shuttle services to Regina and surrounding communities.
Police are also encouraging people to find alternative ways to and from the festival grounds this weekend since there is “extremely limited” parking following Saturday night’s rain.
