Prince Albert RCMP are investigating a suspicious death on the Sturgeon Lake First Nation, about 50 kilometers northwest of Prince Albert.

RCMP and EMS were called at about 10:00 Sunday morning for a report of an unresponsive man. He was later declared deceased upon arrival.

RCMP Major Crimes are investigating, and residents of the First Nation will notice an increased policing presence, but there is no threat to public safety at this time.

The name of the man has not been released, but his family has been notified. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
