An investigation is underway to identify the person involved in a fatal cabin fire.

RCMP say at about 4:00am Sunday morning, officers were called to a structure fire in Cochin.

Police say a small cabin had caught fire with one person trapped inside.

The fire is not suspicious and the identity of the person inside is not yet know.

The Coroners Office is working to identify the person in order to notify the next of kin.
