“The Manny Show” hoping for his debut Saturday

We won’t know what the Riders lineup will look like for Saturday’s game against the Lions until Friday, but Emmanuel Arceneaux is hoping he is on the roster and not watching from the sidelines in street clothes again

Arceneaux, who appears ready to go after a knee injury suffered last year, really hopes he gets that call to put the uniform on.

“I really do. I just want to be out there contributing and doing my thing.” Arceneaux told 620 CKRM’s Derek Taylor on Wednesday following a closed practice. “It doesn’t matter where they put me on the field, I just want to catch footballs and help this team win games.

Head Coach Craig Dickenson won’t say yet whether or not Arceneaux will play, but he says the 31-year-old needs to show him one thing before deciding whether or not to place him on the active roster.

“He’s got to be able to run around and not be messed up the next day,  If he can put back-to-back practices together than we’ll give him a shot.” Dickenson said. “We’ll have to see how he looks on Thursday.”

Game time Saturday from Mosaic Stadium is 5 o’clock with our pre-game coverage starting at 2.
