Regina man charged with first degree murder and numerous attempted murders in string of gun incidents in May

A 27 year old Regina man is facing multiple charges, including first degree murder, after a series of gun related incidents in May.

The Regina Police Service says in May there were numerous gun related incidents that sent five people to the hospital with gun shot wounds, with 21 year old Isaiah Akachuk passing away.

Investigation into these incidents led to the arrests of a 27 year old man for homicide and multiple attempted murder charges and a 26 year old man for firearm charges.

RPS says Derrick Pasap is facing 17 charges including first degree murder, seven counts of attempt to commit murder using a firearm and armed robbery.

He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday afternoon.
