Saskatoon police respond to second stabbing in two nights

The Saskatoon Police Service responded to a call shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Sunday regarding a man who was stabbed.

Police were dispatched to the 700 block of Avenue J South where they found a 33-year-old man suffering from a stab wound.

He was transported to hospital in stable condition. In a statement from SPS, it is believed that the victim’s injury is serious but non-life threatening.

Following the incident, officers managed to locate a 28-year-old male suspect nearby where he was taken into custody.

However, police are still searching for two female suspects who may have been involved in the incident.

The Targeted Enforcement Unit is investigating and anyone with information is asked to contact SPS or Crime Stoppers.
