A reported abduction on July 23rd is not a case of abduction according to police.
The Regina Police Service says police were called to a parking lot on the 400 block of Albert Street north for the reported abduction.
Reports say a vehicle with one person inside pulled into the parking lot and a small back car pulled up behind it.
A suspect left the black car holding what was believed to be a firearm and pointed it at the diver of the other car, the driver exited the car and appeared to be forced into the black car with the suspect and both vehicles drove off.
Police have identified the 24 year old victim and says they have had contact with him and he was safe.
Officers add that the man was not abducted, but robbed at gunpoint.
The robbery is now under investigation and no charges have been laid.
