Environment Canada has issued Heat Warnings for much of southern Saskatchewan Thursday morning.
Regina, Moose Jaw, Swift Current, Weyburn and Estevan are all included in the advisory.
Daytime highs in the low 30’s combined with overnight lows of 16 or greater are expected to last until Sunday or Monday.
Environment Canada reminds everyone to watch for the effects of heat illness: swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions.
Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
Watch for the symptoms of heat illness: dizziness/fainting; nausea/vomiting; rapid breathing and heartbeat; extreme thirst; decreased urination with unusually dark urine.
