Heat warnings continue in southern Saskatchewan

Environment Canada says heat warnings in the southern portion of the province will continue Friday.

A hot and humid airmass over southern Saskatchewan will remain in place for a few days.

The weather agency says daytime highs are forecast to be 32 degrees celsius or higher with overnight lows near 16 degrees celsius.

Current guidance is indicating that temperatures will return to normal seasonal values by Sunday.

You are being asked to watch for the effects of heat illness: swelling, rash, cramps, fainting, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and the worsening of some health conditions.
