One man is in the hospital after a weapons incident in Battleford.

RCMP responded to a complaint of a firearm being discharged at a home on the 300 block of 28th Street at about 12:30 Thursday night.

Police found a 20 year old man in the front yard with a wound on his foot consistent with being shot.

EMS took the man to Battlefords Union Hospital.

No other people were injured in this case.

An investigation is ongoing but police do say all the people at the home or known to each other.

Charges are pending the completion of the investigation.
