Regina police charge 49-year-old man with sexually assaulting 12-year-old girl

A 49-year-old man is facing numerous charges after sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.

Christopher Cameron Duke of Regina has been charged with two counts of sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age, two counts of sexual interference and two counts of anal intercourse.

Police learned about the incident after being called out to a Regina residence the morning of August 1st at around 9:15 a.m. after receiving a report of a sexual assault. The incident occurred at the residence on the evening of July 31st.

The investigation led police to Duke where he was arrested and charged. His 1st court appearance was made in provincial court, Friday August 2nd.

The Regina Police Service says there’s a chance there could be more victims that have yet to approach police at this time.

Duke had travelled extensively through communities in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan since last year.

The following are details of Duke’s travels received by police:

  • Esterhazy, SK (November 2018 to February 2019);
  • Fort Saskatchewan, AB to Dawson Creek and Taylor, BC (June and July 2019); and
  • He has a campsite at Craven Country Campground.

Police say his travels are not limited to these areas, but they are locations of travel of which police are aware.
