The Regina Red Sox are off to a great start in the 2019 post season after a 10-2 win Thursday night over the Moose Jaw Miller Express.

Red Sox infielder Willie Estrada, hit two home runs and racked up three RBI’s in the win and said he knew it was a matter of time before some pitches came to him.

“There’s no way their pitcher could beat me three times in a row, so I just sat on a curveball and it was a hanger and I just decided to swing, luckily I could contribute to the team and tonight’s win,” Estrada said.

The story all season long has been heavy hitters and solid pitching, Estrada said if they can keep that up they should have success this postseason.

“Our pitching is tremendous, they always come out and help us win, and once we score a couple runs and put pressure on their team the pitchers have it a little easier, we just come out do our jobs and win,” Estrada said.

Regina can sweep the series Friday night in Moose Jaw.

First pitch from Ross Wells Park is at 7:05 p.m..
