Garth Brooks wows the crowd again at Mosaic Stadium

According to many Garth Brooks fans who attended the concert Saturday night, it may have been the best version of his show they’ve seen in a long time.

Mosaic Stadium was packed as the seven-time diamond album-selling artist took to the stage and delivered most of the hits he is known for, as well as a couple of covers and some newer releases for Brooks.

Bob from Balgonie called in to our post-concert show Saturday night, and said he believes the show here was better than his performances in Saskatoon in 2016.

“I just think Garth put more into it than he did in Saskatoon,” Bob said. “To be fair to him too, when we went to him in Saskatoon, it was his fifth concert, so he was starting to get a little croaky, so his voice was stronger (Saturday night), and we enjoyed it more.”

Larry from Ituna also called in, and attended both shows here in Regina. He said Saturday night’s show was even better than the first.

“I think the weather had a part of it, and he had more energy (Saturday night) and everything.”

Leona from Melville said the weather had a lot to do when comparing Saturday night’s show to Friday’s.

“He did have a lot of energy, and I think the night was just perfect, it was a beautiful night, you didn’t need a jacket,” Leona said. “I saw him in Saskatoon, and there’s no comparison to the outdoors, it was absolutely phenomenal.”

According to a tweet from Regina Exhibition Association Limited President Tim Reid, Saturday night’s show broke an attendance record at new Mosaic Stadium.
