If you put on a two day country festival, who would be your headliners?

All of us here at 620 CKRM love a good music festival and we took in some great festivals this summer! First off, Country Thunder did not disappoint this year (Mother Nature did disappoint, however) thanks to performances from Jake Owen, Dallas Smith, Meghan Patrick, and many others. Gateway Music Fest knocked it out of the park with their line up, and Raymore Summer Slam brought the 90’s country goodness to one of their biggest crowds yet. While I did not personally make it to All Folk’d Up in Montmarte, I hear it was also a great success.

There is a new app called “Take me Here Festival”  that connects with Deezer or Spotify to analyze what’s on your playlist to create a two day festival line-up based on your most played songs. It got me thinking about what my two day headliners would look like if I could create a festival and money was no object. I think it would be as follows (subject to change…a lot):

Friday Night:

6 – 7:30: Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

8 – 9:30: Shania Twain

10 – 11:30: Alan Jackson

Saturday Night:

6 – 7:30: Travis Tritt

8 – 9:30: Reba McEntire

10 – 11:30: George Strait

Of course, if you ask me tomorrow this line-up would probably change again. All of a sudden I want to include Garth Brooks, Clay Walker, Clint Black, Jon Pardi, Midland, Lee Ann Womack, Chris Stapleton, Blackhawk, Dean Brody, Hunter Brothers, Jess Moskaluke, and MANY others but I only have limited spots on a make believe festival line-up! Perhaps “Cody Jam 2020” will have to be annual festival to fit all of these talented artists in. Hmmmm.
