Regina police investigating stolen cash register incident

Police are searching for suspects who were involved in a robbery Friday night at a business in east Regina.

Regina police were called out at 10:56 p.m. to a business on the 500 block of University Park Drive after a cash till was taken.

A lone male suspect entered the establishment, walked over to the counter and removed the register. Despite the victim’s efforts to intervene, the suspect threatened the individual with a large hammer and walked out the door where a vehicle was waiting outside for him.

A second suspect was seen in the driver seat of the vehicle and the pair of suspects drove off.

The victim was not harmed in the incident.

Police say the first suspect has been described as a dark male, wearing gloves, a black jacket with a grey mask covering the bottom half of his face.

While there is no description of the second suspect at this time, their vehicle was a dark grey or black sedan with a loud muffler.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Regina Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
