A Regina teen has been arrested on several warrants and is now facing new charges after a string on vehicle thefts.
The Regina Police Service says on Thursday officers saw a vehicle that was believed to be stolen in the area of College Avenue and Halifax Street.
The car was followed to the 2000 block of Wallace Street and plain-clothed officers took the driver into custody.
Police say the arrest caused some disruption to the neighbourhood and property damage to vehicles.
Reports say before the arrest the suspect allegedly pulled a modified, loaded firearm and attempted to hid it.
Police recovered a .22 calibre rifle and searched a home on the 800 block of Victoria Avenue where they found a stolen vehicle and a number of other items of stolen property.
Nineteen year old Kaleb Ryder is facing 15 charges for outstanding warrants between May 2nd and August 6th.
Ryder is also acing 20 additional charges including possession of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle and stolen property.
He made his first court appearance on Monday.
