Six youth face a combined 24 charges in connection to two armed robberies

Six youth are facing charges for two armed robberies that happened Wednesday in Regina.
The Regina Police Service says officers were called at about 4:45am to the area of Elphinstone and 10th Avenue for a teen girl who had been beaten up and robbed.
Investigation revealed the incident happened about 45 minutes earlier on the 3500 block of 13th Avenue.
The 14 year old girl says a group of youths assaulted her, took her cell phone and one of the suspects had a firearm. The girl was taken to the hospital.
RPS says another report of a robbery came in at about 4:30am when a 20 year old and 15 year old girl were approached in the area of 14th Avenue and Retallack Street.
Reports say they were approached by two girls and a boy, the boy pointed a firearm at them while the girls assaulted and robbed them.
Police found three teen girls who were detained for their involvement and two more girls and a boy were found in a home on the 2200 block of Rae Street. Police also seized a loaded, sawed off .22 calibre rifle.
All six accused cannot be named under the youth criminal justice act, but they face a combined 24 charges.
A suspects made their first court appearence Thursday.
