On Wednesday at about 10:00pm, RPS was called to the to a collision between two vehicles in the area of Lewvan Drive and Harbour Landing Drive.

No injuries were reported.

An investigation led to the arrest of a 35-year-old officer who was not on duty at the time.

Scott Ash, a constable with nine years of service, is facing three charges and will make his first court appearance on September 10th.

During a media gathering on Friday afternoon, Deputy Chief of Police Dean Rae talked about how the community expects the Regina Police Service to conduct themselves with a high standard, which he says its the same within the department.

“When these incidents occur, it’s concerning to us as a service, but at the end of the day we are all human, we all make mistakes” stated Rae.

“It doesn’t matter whether you’re a sworn member of the police service or a member of the public, we have expectations and we hold our members accountable for any actions that happen.”

RPS says Ash has been place on administrative leave for the immediate future and an administrative investigation is being conducted.
