Two men charged in connection to a series of break and enters

Two men are facing charges in connection to two recent break and enters.

On August 22nd, the Regina Police Service was called to a home on Church Drive where a suspect had kicked in the front door and taken several items including power tools and a TV.

The resident was not home at the time of the break in.

Investigation led to a home on the 1200 block of Alberdeen Street where one man was arrested.

Police say search warrants were issued for homes on the 200 block of Angus Street and Carter Crescent.

Items from the Church Street break and enter were found, as well as property from a break and enter on August 23rd on Metcalfe Road. RPS says a second suspect was arrested at the Carter Crescent location.

Thirty-five year old Matthew Kaiswatum is facing six charges and appeared in court on Monday.

Police say 27 year old Ernest Oochoo is facing a charge of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and was released on an undertaking to be in court on October 2nd.
