RCMP find weapons, street drugs from major seizure in North Battleford

RCMP have seized a number of narcotics and weapons following a search Sunday morning at a North Battleford home.

Battlefords RCMP arrived to the residence on the 1200 block of 106th Street in North Battleford at around 1:30 p.m. on August 31. Officers began an investigation which resulted in a search warrant for the property.

With the help of Battlefords Patrol, Municipal and Provincial GIS, Crime Reduction, Serious Violent Offender and Traffic Services Units, police were able to uncover the following items.

  • Approximately three kilograms of crystal meth;
  • Approximately six kilograms of suspected powder cocaine;
  • 288 grams of crack cocaine;
  • 870 grams of suspected fentanyl;
  • Several vials of steroids;
  • Psylocibin spores;
  • 15 long rifles;
  • 11 semi-auto pistols;
  • Three revolvers;
  • Thousands of rounds of ammunition;
  • Numerous canisters of bear spray;
  • A taser;
  • Stolen power tools;
  • Various other items believed to be stolen property; and
  • A stolen 2016 Dodge Ram truck.

According to the RCMP, the estimated street value of the seized drugs is approximately $750,000. No one was inside the residence during the search and no charges have been laid at this point.

Police say this has become a very large and complex investigation that will continue over the coming weeks.
