An investigation thought to be a potential firearm offence has been deemed unfounded.
The Regina Police Service was called to the 900 block of Montague Street at about 7:00am Tuesday for a report of something that sounded like a gunshot.
Police say the caller also described a vehicle pulling up to a house shortly before the sound. Officers attended and secured the scene.
Three adults were initially detained with two of them, one man and one woman, arrested on outstanding warrants.
RPS says another man and woman were found on the scene and arrested on outstanding warrants.
No firearm was found in the house but officers did seize a spent firework, which is believed to be the source of the noise, and other items believed to be stolen property.
The investigation is ongoing.
