August rainfall is a tale of two extremes in Saskatchewan.
Environment Canada meteorologist Terri Lang says rainfall in Regina and Moose Jaw was twice the normal amount last month, with Regina receiving 96 millimeters or almost four inches.
August rainfall in Saskatoon, Yorkton and North Battleford was only half of normal.
Farther north, La Ronge and Meadow Lake also had well above normal rainfall with La Ronge at 70 percent higher than average.
August temperatures were below normal, with Regina 1.6 degrees cooler than usual.
