Installment ceremony scheduled for Saskatchewan’s Lieutenant Governor

Saskatchewan’s 23rd Lieutenant Governor, Russ Mirasty, will be formally installed on Thursday at the Legislative Building.

Mirasty was sworn in as the province’s Lieutenant Governor in July after W. Thomas Molloy passed away.

The installment ceremony will complete the traditional events including his investiture as the Chancellor of the Saskatchewan Order of Merit and give Mirasty a chance to share his priorities for his mandate.

Under the Canadian constitution, Mirasty will serve as the Lieutenant Governor for a minimum of five years.
