Provincial battle on the gridiron happens Friday as the Huskies come to Mosaic to play the Rams

The Regina Rams are hoping the team that beat UBC in Week 1 of the Canada West season is the team that comes out of the tunnel at Mosaic Stadium Friday night.

After a convincing 30 point win over the T-Birds, the Rams lost a one-point game to Alberta last week in a contest where they had several opportunities to win only to squander those opportunities away.  As a result, they enter their game Friday against the University of Saskatchewan with a 1-1 record which is the same mark as their provincial rivals.

“I knew we had a young talented team that was being overlooked by everyone.” Head Coach Steve Bryce said. “I knew we would have some ups and downs and that we wouldn’t go undefeated but we were disappointed with how last week went because of the mistakes made.  We’re a better football team than what we were last week so hopefully that first game is more indicative of what to expect from ourselves.”

Game time from Mosaic Stadium is at 7.  We will have it on 620 CKRM starting with the pre-game show at 6:45
