Those on and around the 1900 block of Winnipeg Street may have seen a strong police presence shortly after midnight Friday morning.

In a news release Regina Police said they were asking residents in that area to stay inside, and for traffic to avoid the area while they conducted an “operation”.

The area is secure this hour and officers say everything ended peacefully.

There’s no word on arrests or charges at this time, but police say more details will be provided later on.
