An accident at a gas station in the town of Stoughton Monday morning has taken the life of a woman.

RCMP say members were sent to the business around 7 AM after receving a report about a collission between a pedestrian and semi.  The semi that was involved did stop after the collission, but the driver had reportedly left the station before coming back.

The woman, whose age and name have not been released, is said to have died at the scene.

More information is expected before the day is over with the RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist unit and Coroners office investigating.
