Recalls issued for certain Sobeys chicken sandwiches and salads after potential Listeria discovery

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says recall orders have been issued for certain chicken sandwiches and store made salads at Sobeys.

The products have been sold in five provinces, including Saskatchewan.

The CFIA says diced chicken in the products could be contaminated with Listeria.

Symptoms of Listeria exposure can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness.

The products include a variety of chicken salads, including Classic Chicken, Chicken Mulligatawny, Buffalo Chicken, Curried Chicken Salad with Raisins, as well as a Chicken Salad Sandwich.
