Agriculture minister David Marit has proclaimed October as Agriculture month in Saskatchewan.
Marit says the announcement is an opportunity to recognize the contributions of farmers and to increase consumer understanding and trust in modern food production.
He is encouraging farmers to engage in dialogue with consumers about the production of safe, high quality, nutritious food across Saskatchewan.
Marit says Saskatchewan exports have surpassed 15 billion dollars in recent years.
This year’s theme, Our Food Has a Story, enables farmers to connect with consumers about food production.
