Pats shutout in Moose Jaw Sunday for sixth straight defeat

A 3-0 loss in Moose Jaw Sunday afternoon capped off a tough 0-3 weekend for the Regina Pats, while extending their early season losing streak to six games.

Despite giving up three goals in the first period Head Coach Dave Struch felt they had a good start, and carried most of the momentum through the game.

Struch said when it comes to scoring they need to find a way to get that first one to start.

“It’s not for a lack of effort that’s for sure, I think the guys are putting everything they can into it,” said Struch. “It’s the matter of getting that first one, and we work on it a lot, but this is where we’re at in the re-build and our guys have to fight through it because they are doing a lot of things right,” Struch added.

After a game in three straight days the Pats (1-6-0-0) will have only Monday off to re-group, as they’ll play host to the Edmonton Oil Kings (4-1-2-0) Tuesday night.
