Three people are facing multiple charges as Regina Police completed an investigation into illegal drug trafficking in the city.

Police say on Friday, search warrants were done at a home on the 200 block of Michener Drive and 4800 block of Green Brooks Way.

Officers seized controlled substances, money and a loaded 9mm handgun.

RPS says 29 year old Awet Mehari, 20 year old Eve Molander from Regina and 31 year old Beniam Abraha from Saskatoon are facing 8 charges including unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession for the purpose of trafficking and unsafe storage of a firearm.

Mehari is facing five additional charges and Molander faces one more charge.

All three made their first court appearance on Tuesday and all remain in custody.
