La Loche RCMP are looking for a suspect involved in a robbery that turned violent.

Police say on Friday at about 1:00am, a man caught another man stealing items from his family vehicle at his house on Lamaigre Street.

The man confronted the unknown man and the suspect stabbed the victim in the chest.

The victim was taken to hospital and has since been released.

Police say the suspect ran off with a few items from the car including two portable televisions and a DVD player.

The suspect is described as about 5’10, slim build, black baggy pants, plain dark hooded sweater and a dark ski mask.

Anyone with information is asked to call RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
