Pats to have special jerseys for Sunday’s Prairie Classic

More details on Sunday’s WHL game at Mosaic Stadium between the Regina Pats and Calgary Hitmen are being released by the Pats.

Fans going to the game will see the home side in special uniforms that they can get after the game as they will be auctioned off online.

The Pats will be celebrating their connection with Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry and the entire Canadian Forces in their annual Military Appreciation game. There will be members of all three arms of the Canadian Forces, Infantry (PPCLI), the Navy (HMCS Queen) and the Airforce (15-Wing Moose Jaw).

Goalie Max Paddock (pictured wearing special Pats uniform at 2018 Memorial Cup) will be wearing a Prairie Classic commemorative mask for the game which will be raffled off during the game with tickets being three for ten dollars.

The NHL Heritage Classic fan-fest will be open from 10-1:30 outside Mosaic Stadium.

The team says more than 10,000 tickets have already been sold.

Meanwhile, forward Blake Allan will likely play in the Prairie Classic, but it won’t be for the Pats.  The team traded him to Calgary on Tuesday for an 8th round pick in the 2020 bantam draft that could be upgraded to a 7th,
