SGEU says no deal when it comes to members at Workers Compensation Board

SGEU members who work at the Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board says they are at an impasse in bargaining and have asked the Minister responsible to appoint a provincial Labour Relations Officer to assist in reaching an agreement.

A tentative deal was rejected in June and Debbie Wallace, Chair of the SGEU WCB Bargaining Committee, says they are seeking what they describe as a more reasonable wage offer at the bargaining table.

Approximately 430 SGEU members have been without a contract since December 31.
