Body found Northeast of Regina confirmed to be Jenaya Wapemoose: RPS

The Regina Police Service and Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service are confirming that the body found on Saturday northeast of Regina is 22-year-old Jenaya Wapemoose.

Police say the family has been advised and connected with RPS Victim Services for support.

Two people are facing charges connected to the homicide.

RPS says 23-year-old Eric Kakakaway is facing charges of second degree murder and offering indignity to a human body. Thirty-year-old Jeanette Kakakaway is charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Both made their first court appearance on Monday.
